Serve as Director of Global Business and Ariel Ben-Porath to Expand his Duties as VP Marketing to include Marketing and Business Development.
Tel Aviv, Israel, April 12, 2010 - BrightView Systems today announced a new appointment to the management team to support global marketing and sales efforts within the fast growing thin-film market. BrightView provides in-line metrology-based process control and optimization tools for thin-film solar cell manufacturing. The InSight M-Series Wide Area Metrology system provides continuous monitoring and whole-panel mapping of critical material and process parameters at full production throughput and for 100% of manufactured panels.
Hai Benron, an international sales and business development veteran, has been appointed the Director of Global Business and a member of the Management Team. Mr. Benron joins BrightView with over 20 years experience in new product and market penetration for the electronic manufacturing industry, primarily semiconductors and packaging and assembly. With over ten years’ experience in Asia Pacific for companies such as SEZ and Orbotech, he is spearheading BrightView’s penetration into this region, as it is the emerging growth area for thin-film solar panel manufacturing. He has lived and worked in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and the US. Previously he was the Vice President of Business Marketing and Strategic Accounts of SEZ Asia Pacific and General Manager of SEZ China. Benron has also been a commentator on the China semiconductor industry trends and has published several articles and presented at leading industry events. Mr. Benron is named on an image- processing patent and is a graduate of Stanford University and Yale University (MBA).
Mr. Ariel Ben-Porath, the current VP Marketing has been named VP Marketing and Business Development to focus on strategy, customer needs and business opportunities in the expanding thin-film photovoltaic markets. Prior to joining BrightView in 2008, Mr. Ben-Porath held senior management positions in the process control and semiconductor market during 10 years with Applied Materials, most recently heading a key product unit for process control software. Previously, he was the Director of Global Product Management for the Applied SEMVision product line, an automated SEM review and classification tool that dominates over 70% of its $400M market, and in use by every semiconductor manufacturing fab; he also headed the development of an automatic defect classification system, part of the Applied Materials SEMVision. Mr. Ben-Porath is named on several patents and publications in the fields of automatic classification, data mining and process control, and holds a B.Sc. (Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Technion in Israel and a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics & Computational Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
